SavageHaha, no.

Rule 001.

You are not your character.

This is my number One rule for a reason. You are not your character. Your character is not you. Therefore, don't get offended when character personalities clash or when a scene doesn't quite go according to plan. Roleplay happens. If you can't accept consequences and outcomes without getting hurt feelings over it, then I'm not the roleplayer for you.

Rule 002.

Lore purity be damned.

I respect the lore and play within its bounds, but if you're one of those that has to take the lore as the Word of God that no one can deviate from, if you can't appreciate creative license and ingenuity, then kindly keep that nonsense out of my orbit.

Rule 003.

21+ Players & Characters, period.

I just flat-out don't like children in my stories. It raises too many questions of ethics and propriety thereby causing too many problems.Consenting adults only. This is non-negotiable. Lie to me OOC about your age at your peril. Lie to Xochitl about your age IC and deal with the consequences. This includes bringing the Babies/Children of your characters or bringing your "child-like" adult characters into Xochitl's orbit. Just don't do it.

Rule 004.

Boundaries & Expectations exist for a reason.

I have very firm boundaries and expectations. READ THEM HERE. Failure to read them and saying "I didn't know" later on will not excuse you for violations.

Rule 005.

Roleplay is not a Dating Service

If you're here to find a girlfriend -- go away.I roleplay for fun and as a hobby. I'm not looking for an OOC relationship on any level. Friendship is my absolute limit and if you try to push for something more than that, I can and will boot you to the curb.

Rule 006.

Communication is a must!

I have very clear-cut and transparent expectations when it comes to roleplay. OOC communication and collaboration is a must. I don't care if it's via tells, via Discord, or via Carrier Pidgeon. If you can't bring yourself to talk to me, to plan with me, to collaborate with me, then I'm not going to carry the load for you.Roleplay is an equal partnership in this house.

Rule 007.

You get what you give!

I am a reciprocal creature. You'll get as much creative effort out of me as you give. If you ask for RP, then so will I. If you include my character in your stories, then I'll do the same for yours.Give zero effort and zero energy and that's what you'll get back!

Rule 008.

Moon Codes not needed nor required!

You do not need mods to roleplay with me. If you require me to have mods to roleplay with you, then I have no interest in roleplaying with you either.Codes are given to vetted and trusted Roleplayers that I roleplay with Frequently and Often, so don't ask for them. And don't fling yours at me without me having asked for it.

Xochitl Canek

The Tigress of Tural

  •   pronunciation   Soh-CHEE Cah-NECK

  •   nicknames     Xochi, Xo, Xoxo

  •   race    Turali Xbr'aal

  •   pronouns    She/Her

  •   birthdate    18th Sun of the 5th Astral Moon

  •   sexuality    Hetero-Demi

  •   current partner     Garret Hjorth

  •   origin    Yak T'el, Tural

  •   occupation    Arena Prize-fighter & Adventurer

PERSONALITY   Xochitl is very slow to trust others, primarily because those she's trusted up to the present day have all been comrades-in-arms, people she's fought and died with. People who have earned her trust and who have saved her life on more than one occasion. Compared to them, it's hard for Xochitl to learn enough about 'normal' people in 'normal' fashion for her to trust them to that degree.Aside from that, she generally tends to be pretty congenial -- unless you're rude to her, then she'll return that attitude in kind.If you show up in her presence spoiling for a fight or looking to "prove yourself" or "take her down" because of her status as an Undefeated champion, you're going to be met with indifference and disinterest. Xochitl has zero respect or regard for people looking to cut their teeth against her experience or use her as a whipping girl for their much deeper mental problems. If you have to fight her to prove your worth, then you weren't worth much to begin with.

Theme Music

Let all of Life be an uninterrupted battle cry. Like the crowd cheering on their favorite Gladiator, don't let the obstacles you face, the fears you must overcome, the doubts that seep into your mind, drown out the hunger that's in your heart.

her story

Xochitl was born in the village of Iq Br'aax in the Yak T'el region of Tural. She is the eldest of three sisters, followed by her middle sister, Oxomoco Canek, and her youngest sister, Khanna Canek. In their youth, they were schooled at home by their parents, learning everything from government, to music, to mathematics, reading, and writing. Xochitl showed an aptitude for martial weapons early-on which won her the interest of the local Landsguard. Oxomoco, on the other hand, showed an aptitude for magic and earned a place to learn with the elusive Whalaqee.Xochitl and Oxomoco were close in age, so they grew up together as close, loving sisters. Xochitl was the leader and Oxomoco the follower; the Brawn and the Brains. Together, they excelled at hunting and helping to supply the village with necessities. In their downtime together, whenever Xochitl showed an interest in boys, Oxomoco would be the one to test them in order to see if they were suitable for her sister; in the reality of it, it was simply the sister's way of deterring unwanted suitors. Xochitl did much the same for Oxomoco. It wasn't until after Xochitl had left for the Landsguard that Khanna was born to the Canek family. Coming in so late to their ranks, she didn't get to know her Eldest sister much and only saw her on rare holidays that Xochitl got to come home for. As a result, Khanna hated her Eldest sister and did her level best to make Xochitl's life misery whenever she was home, getting Xochitl in trouble by picking fights, then crying and telling their parents that Xochitl was bullying her. As a result, Xochitl grew to despite any kind of emotional manipulation.Eventually, however, Oxomoco grew restless and the teaching of the Whalaqee not enough to assuage for whatever it was she was searching for. She came to Xochitl one night, announcing her intent to leave Tural and she asked her elder sister to come with her. However, Xochitl's duty was to the Landsguard and to Tural, so it was with a breaking heart that Xochitl denied her sister's request. Oxomoco left.Xochitl was left in Tural alone to tend to their parents and see to their needs. They were proud of their Landsguard daughter, but when Xochitl's time in with the guard came to an end and Xochitl turned to a life in the arenas, their parents thought it a shameless display -- until the bags of gil started arriving home. Xochitl ensured that her parents lived a comfortable life back home in Tuliyollal, then she took the rest of the money she earned to search the world for her sisters...Which eventually brought her to Eorzea.

⚔︎ Connections

These are Xochitl's most trusted and valued friends. They're part and parcel of her world and are always welcome in her orbit, no matter who she's with at the time. They are part of her story, just as much as she is a part of theirs.Even if you consider yourself her friend, don't expect to show up here if you only talk to her occasionally or only ever speak to her in the Quicksand and Ul'dah. It takes time, effort, and engagement to build these connections with her and that's never going to happen in the Quicksand.

Oxomoco Canek

Sister Firebrand

Her sister and her other half, Oxomoco is the singular most important person in Xochitl's world. She trusts Oxomoco with everything and when apart from her sister she talks about little else.A skilled mage in her own right, Oxomoco is an experienced adventurer with more than one trick up her sleeve...Soon to travel more of Eorzea, Oxomoco plans to show her sister the world and then some, making up for all the years they lost during their separation.

Garret Hjorth

The Smith

Garret is a blacksmith with an adventuring past, retired from that life by a catastrophic injury the man has spent most of that time crafting weapons and armor for others.A perpetual source of laughter and someone who drops anything to come to Xochitl's aid, he's proven himself to be a steadfast and welcome source of both enjoyment and support to the Tigress at a time she might need it most...She's grown quite fond of the Big Dummy and can often be found in his company.

Eulansis Kuebiko

The Silent Song

The enigmatic "Ex" is a mute bard that Xochitl befriended whose comical pantomimes completely bely her sinister, macabre sense of style. The woman has endeared herself to the xbr'aal by being a willing ear and a welcome companion, the viera's carefree and fun-loving nature a welcome contrast to the day-to-day seriousness -- or dullness -- of everyday life. One of the few who remembers Ex's original singing voice, Xochitl has sworn to help her get it back.

Yumari Takeyari

The Kestrel

This delicate little raen waif wandered up to Xochitl in Limsa Lominsa, whereupon the tigress learned that she was destitute and without work.
